Hitchhiking
Quite easy, and unlike Martinique some locals will also pick you up but lifts mainly come from the French/Europeans.
Hitching boats: Basse-Terre and Deshaies on the west coast are the best places.
Ferries to Dominica and Martinique.
Also: According to this blog, hitchhiking in Guadeloupe seems to work without any problems.
