Liechtenstein is a tiny country in Western Europe, surrounded by Austria and Switzerland. It is a member state of the Schengen Agreement. People speak German.
There is no motorway in Liechtenstein, but the A13 in Switzerland is within walking distance from any point in the country. It goes down to Bellinzona and merges into the A2 towards Lugano and Italy.
Liechtenstein was the destination of the Abgefahren Hitchhiking Race 2009.

Hitchhiking out
South towards Bellinzona, Lugano, Italy
If you want to hitch out of Liechtenstein, try to go to to the service station Rheintal between the ramps Buchs and Sevelen. It doesn't matter at which ramp you are, it's possible to walk along the bicycle path along the river to get directly to the service station. The on-ramp Sevelen is also pretty good to hitchhike a short ride to the petrol station.
Eastbound/Northeast Bregenz, Ulm, München
Take bus number 11 from Vaduz to Feldkirch (rarely controlled, leaves twice an hour). In Feldkirch get off at Rappenweg (Tisis) and walk back to the Agip service area (everyone who goes to Austria will take petrol here and not on the Liechtenstein side - it's cheaper here). Alternatively get off at the border (custom control) - cars have to get slow there, so perfect to catch a ride to Bregenz and Germany.
