The A1 is the name for motorways in many countries:
- In Germany from Oldenburg (Holstein) to Saarbrücken. --> A1 (Germany)
- In France from Lille to Paris.
- In the Netherlands from Amsterdam to Germany (Bad Bentheim)
- In Italy from Milan to Naples
- In Romania from Bucharest to Pitesti (nowadays going all the way to the Hungarian border).
