Arzamas (Russian: Арзамас) is a city in Russia, located in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, 112 km south of Nizhny Novgorod on the R158 highway.

Hitchhiking out
South towards Saransk, Penza, and Saratov (via R158)
The closest spot to the bypass road is the "18th Line (Kirillovsky)" bus stop, which can be reached by city buses No. 9 and 10A from Sobornaya Square. From the bus stop it is a 300-meter walk by footpath to the highway.
North towards Nizhny Novgorod (via R158)
- Along Gorkovskoye Highway. Bus stop No. 12, named "Exit to Highway."
- Via Kazanskaya Street and the bypass. From "Arzamas-2" station on foot, or from Sobornaya Square by bus No. 1 or 4 to "st. Arzamas-3." Kazanskaya Street starts directly from the stop after the railway crossing. After 1.5 km you'll find the city sign, and after 3 km an intersection with the bypass.
