Hitchhiking on the island
Hitchhiking on the island is very easy. Traffic isn't going very fast so it's easy to find a place where people can stop safely. With a very low crime-rate on the island, people are not scared to pick up strangers.
To avoid confusion please note that the capital is St Peter Port, but there is also a small village called St Peter (Saint Pierre du Bois).
Personal expierence
In May 2024 I spent 2 days hiking and hitchhiking on the island. With the exeption of the city St Peter Port it was always very easy to find a good spot nearby to hitch from. Although there were many tourist I only got picked up by locals. Chris9012 (talk) 19:24, 1 October 2024 (CEST)
