The Central African Republic (CAR) is called after it's location, right in the in the geographic center of Africa. It has borders with Cameroon, Chad, Sudan, South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Republic of the Congo.
Apparently the CAR is the most lawless country after Somalia. Expect police to demand bribes often. On top of that, armed gangs are common. Hitchhiking is not recommended here.
