A35 (Netherlands)

The A35 is a Dutch motorway between Enschede and Wierden, but the street also known as Rijksweg 35 or N35 also connects the A35/Enschede with the German border (where it becomes the German B54) and up near Wierden with the road between Wierden and Zwolle.

• (25) Enschede-Zuid (very good) -- (average)
  • No hard shoulder to stand on, quite tricky. A bit space to hitch, though. For going towards Germany, try it at the traffic light before the ramp. Everyone might go at least towards Gronau. Towards Hengelo much easier, hard shoulder available.
• (26) Enschede-West (average)
  • Hard to get to this ramp, you have to walk a long way along the bypass. Hitching before the traffic lights is possible, also just 5m down the ramp there is some space to stop cars. Not really recommended spot, but possible to catch cars. Traffic is fast, be careful here and consider this an emergency spot.
• (27) Twentekanaal (good)
  • Towards Almelo with good hard shoulder, though with two lanes, a sharp corner and fast traffic. Just hitch some meters up the ramp. Towards Enschede one lane, traffic slow, good hard shoulder and lightning.
• (28) Delden (good)
  • Towards Enschede with hard shoulder and enough space to stop.
• Knooppunt Buren
  • Chance to get on to the motorway A1.
• (29) Borne-West (average) -- (good)
  • Towards Deventer not that great but still doable, towards Enschede perfect with plenty of space to stop.
• Knooppunt Azelo
  • Chance to get on to the motorway A1.
