Hitchhiking in Scotland tends to be far easier than England, and can be incredibly easy in the Highlands (specifically towards the west coast and islands).

Edinburgh - the capital.
Glasgow - the largest city.
Aberdeen
Dundee
Stirling
Inverness - the only city in the Highland region.
