Penrith is a town in Cumbria, England. It has a train station called Penrith North Lakes.
Hitching Out
M6 north towards Carlisle, Scotland
The junction of the M6 with A6 and A66 is outside the city in an industrial area. You can stand shortly after the traffic lights where the motorway begins. Cars can stop on the hard shoulder. There is a CCTV camera, but it's not clear whether it can see you.
Just west of the junction is also a big parking space, the hitch-ability of which is unknown.
