M6 (GB)

The M6 is the longest motorway in the United Kingdom and one of the busiest. It forms part of a motorway "Backbone of Britain", running north-south between London and Glasgow via the industrial North of England. It becomes the M 74 in Scotland

The section from the M 1 to the M 6 Toll split near Birmingham is part of the E 24 and the section from the M 6 Toll and the M 42 forms part of E 5.
