The ferries leave every two hours. You can get to the port by taking Bus 40 from the main station or Kröpeliner Tor to 'Rostock Fähre', or the S3 from the main station to 'Seehafen Nord'. The bus will cost EUR 2.50EUR 50 more than a normal ticket and comes with every ferry. But if you take the S-Bahn, you will have to walk a bit.
