Perm (Russian: Пермь) is a city in Russia, the administrative center of Perm Krai. It is a major transport hub on the Trans-Siberian Railway and a river port. The city is an important industrial, scientific, and cultural center of the Urals. Population: 1,026,908 (2024), making it the fifteenth largest city in Russia.

Hitchhiking out

Southeast towards Yekaterinburg via E22

• Take bus No. 19 to the last stop "Mikrorayon Lipovaya Gora," then walk 1 km to the interchange with the ring road.
• Buses No. 11, 121, 344 go further to the stop "d. Nestyukovo."
• The stop "Kooperativ Neftyanik" is the furthest along the highway—accessible by suburban buses No. 344, 341, 442.
• By suburban train from Perm-2 station to "Yug" station.

North towards Berezniki and Solikamsk ("Solikamsky Trakt")

• From the Central Kolkhoz Market, take bus No. 32 to the stop "Michurinskiye Sady," Levshino district. Then walk along the bus route to the interchange (Vostochny bypass). Turn left and you'll find a good spot.
• From the Central Market and Bus Station: buses No. 8, 20, 39; minibus No. 7.
• From Komsomolskaya Square: bus No. 60.
• From Perm-II train station: bus No. 15, minibus No. 9 to "Geroja Lyadova" stop, then go straight to the road interchange and turn right.
• From Perm-II train station: bus No. 64.
• From the Goznak factory: bus No. 80 to "Krasavinsky Most" stop, then walk straight.

West towards Izhevsk, Kazan, and Kirov via M7

• Buses No. 15, 20, 39, 60, 64, 65, 8, 80 or minibuses No. 162, 163, 7T to the stop "Po trebovaniyu (ul. Svetlogorskaya)." Go forward along Kalinina street to the turnoff to Krasnokamsk. Bus No. 80 to "Krasavinsky Most" stop, then walk straight.
• Kurya station. By train from Perm-2 or buses No. 107 (suburban), 205, and 163.
• Start of the Krasnokamsk ring road. Stop "d. Nagornaya." Buses No. 107, 146, 205 or minibuses No. 162 and 539.

Transit hitchhiking

• The Western bypass of Perm from M7 across the Kama River to the interchange with Kosmonavta Leonova street in the Industrial district.
• The Southern bypass of Perm: from the interchange with Leonova, through the interchange with Nestyukovsky Trakt, to the interchange with R243 motorway towards Yekaterinburg.
• The Eastern bypass of Perm: from the motorway towards Yekaterinburg through Brodovsky Trakt, through forests to Uinskaya Street, Lyadovskaya Street, to the Chusovskoy Bridge.
