Hitchhiking out
Northwest towards Kayseri, Sivas, Ankara
To go towards Göksun, Afşin, Elbistan, Kayseri, Sivas, or Ankara, you need to get to the Kayseri Road. You can use public transportation heading to Sütçü İmam University main campus, get off in front of the campus, and start hitchhiking directly from there.
The routes to Afşin and Elbistan branch off from Göksun.
Southeast towards Gaziantep
To go towards Gaziantep, you need to get to the Gaziantep Road. You can use public transportation heading to Erkenez, Karacasu, Sütçü İmam University Karacasu Campus, or Necip Fazıl City Hospital, and start hitchhiking at the later points on the eastern ring road.
When heading to Gaziantep, there are fewer vehicles using the state road on the last stretch, so if the vehicle you are on does not go directly via the state road to Gaziantep, you can continue hitchhiking from Narlı motorway tolls to reach Gaziantep.
Northeast towards Adıyaman, Malatya
To go towards Pazarcık, Gölbaşı, Adıyaman, or Malatya, you need to get to the Gaziantep Road. You can use public transportation heading to Erkenez, Karacasu, Sütçü İmam University Karacasu Campus, or Necip Fazıl City Hospital, and start hitchhiking at the later points on the eastern ring road.
The road to Adıyaman and Malatya separates from Gaziantep Road at the 28th kilometer in Narlı.
South towards Osmaniye, Adana
To go towards Türkoğlu, Nurdağı, Hatay, Osmaniye, or Adana, you need to get to the Osmaniye Road. You can use public transportation heading to the bus station or Aksu District, and hitchhike further along Osmaniye Road, or walk 1 km down from the city center along Azerbaijan Boulevard and start hitchhiking at the entrance to Osmaniye Road.
For those going to Osmaniye or Adana, the route enters the Şanlıurfa-Mersin Motorway at Nurdağı; for Hatay, continue via Islahiye.
