Chudovo (Russian: Чудово) is a city in Russia, the administrative center of Chudovsky Municipal District in the north of Novgorod Oblast.

Hitchhiking out

Northeast towards Tikhvin via R36

  • The exit is on Gruzinskoye Highway, accessible by foot or bus 2. However, the road here turns away from the main route towards Tikhvin; it's better to go via Zuevo - Kirishi for this direction.

Northwest towards Saint Petersburg and south towards Veliky Novgorod and Moscow via M10

  • The western part of the city - Uspenskoye settlement at the intersection of M10 and R36 features a traffic light, making it a convenient spot for hitchhiking in both directions. From the railway station to this spot is about 1.5 km (walk west from the tracks, then the road turns left towards the highway). In the direction of Saint Petersburg, it's also possible to use the motel with a large parking lot, located not far towards Moscow.
