Achinsk (Russian: Ачинск) is a city in Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia. It is the administrative center of Achinsk district and city district, and is the third largest city in the region after Krasnoyarsk and Norilsk. The city is located on the right bank of the Chulym River at the crossing with the Trans-Siberian Railway, about 160 km west of Krasnoyarsk.

Hitchhiking out

East towards Krasnoyarsk via A255

• Take bus 5 to the point where it turns left from Dzerzhinskogo street to the Vostochny settlement. Continue straight on Dzerzhinskogo, the hitchhiking spot is about 800 meters past the traffic light. Alternatively, take bus 116 to the same traffic light (this bus goes further towards Malinovka).

West towards Mariinsk and Kemerovo via A255

• Take the tram to AGK, get off near the mentioned cafés on the right ("Merkuriy" is one of them). This is the position for westbound hitchhiking.

South towards the settlements of Uzhur and Troitskoye via regional road 04K-003

• Buses 1, 6, 7, 116, 117 to the stop "Yuzhnaya Promzona" (immediately after the overpass).

North towards the Achinsk Oil Refinery

• Via the Neftyanikov highway.

Hitchhiking in

• It is recommended to cross Achinsk via the bypass. From east to west: at the first traffic light turn left, continue for several kilometers past the forest and cemetery, then turn right into a residential area on Prigorodnaya street, which becomes an overpass over the railway. Go straight on 5 Iyulya street. After two kilometers, there will be an overpass above you, which is the road to Nazarovo. Continue straight. Another two kilometers further you will reach Kravchenko street with tram tracks; turn right. After four hundred meters, turn left, where there are various cafés—this is the spot for Bogotol, Kemerovo, Novosibirsk. The same reference points work in both directions.
