Turkestan is a city in Kazakhstan in Shymkent region.
Southeast towards Shymkent, Tashkent, Almaty, Bishkek
After visiting the mausoleum, you can walk for 5-10 minutes to find a good spot. It's a wide concrete road and there are many cars going to Shymkent and Tashkent. If you are going to Almaty, you can continue in Shymkent.
Places to Visit
Famous by Mausoleum complex of Khoja Ahmad Yasavi and other archaeological and historical cites. Visiting complex is free (2010). Guide in English is free (2010). Welcome. :)
