The M27 motorway goes through the city.

Hitchhiking out

North towards Mtskheta and Batumi

The hitchhiking point is not far from the Didube bus station, near the statue of David the Builder on horseback.

East towards the airport and Telavi

The hitchhiking point is directly next to the metro station Samori.

Southeast towards Rustavi, Merneuli, Armenia and Azerbaijan

The hitchhiking point is near the Ortachala bus station. Several kilometers after the end of the city, the road divides, one way going towards Rustavi and Azerbaijan (Baku), the other towards Merneuli and Armenia (Yerevan).
