Belorechensk (Russian: Белореченск) is a city in Russia, located in Krasnodar Krai. It is situated on the Belaya River, in the foothills of the Main Caucasus Range. The city is approximately 80 km southeast of the regional center Krasnodar and 27 km northwest of Maykop. Belorechensk is a railway junction on the North Caucasus Railway line between Armavir and Tuapse, with a branch along the Belaya River valley (through Maykop) to the settlement of Kamennomostsky. Hitchhikers often travel through Belorechensk via the A160 road into the mountains of Adygea and back.

Hitchhiking out
South towards Maykop via A160
- Bus number 111 runs from the city center to the settlement of Vostochny. After it turns off the highway, there is a stop "DNT Zheleznodorozhnik-1"; you can walk back to the highway and hitchhike opposite the turn (there are no guardrails or streetlights), or go a little further south, where there is a café-canteen with a convenient pull-off area and the entrance stele to Adygea.
North towards Ust-Labinsk and Korenovsk via A160
- Buses 108, 109, 115, 116, 122, 193, 549, 582, and 610 turn at a traffic light junction 12 km from the city. There is a request stop just after the turn. The junction has streetlights and a wide shoulder. The area is open fields with few distractions for drivers.

- Bus 114 takes you to the stanitsa of Giaginskaya, from which you would still need to continue onwards. It is better to get out earlier, near Stepnoy.
