Located in the central part of Krasnodar Krai, on the right (high) bank of the Kuban River, opposite the mouth of the Laba River. It is situated 62 km east of Krasnodar. The city is the largest transport hub in the Kuban region, with roads heading in five different directions, which can be confusing for hitchhikers.

Hitchhiking out
South towards Belorechensk and Maykop via A160
Option 1 - Closed GAI Post on the Right Bank of the Kuban
Cross the river on foot using the bridge. City bus No. 2 goes to the interchange before the bridge.
North towards Korenovsk and Timashevsk via A160
Option 1 - Roundabout with Ust-Labinsk Stele
2.5 km from the train station on foot. It's possible to hitch a ride from DRSU, only 1 km by foot from the station, or catch buses 102 and 103 which pass through DRSU and the roundabout (although they do not stop at the roundabout). At the exit from the roundabout there are streetlights and a wide shoulder.
Option 2 - Toward Kirpylskaya
Bus No. 215 goes further north and turns in the village of Kirpylskaya. Whether a good hitchhiking spot exists there or if you'll need to walk through the whole village is unknown.
Northeast towards Kropotkin
Option 1 - Intersection of the Bypass Road and Polonskaya Street
4 km on foot from the station.
Option 2 - Bus 106 to Dvubratsky
You must hitchhike at the bus stop opposite the station. Alternatively, walk 300 meters further to a broken railway crossing.
Southwest towards Krasnodar
Option 1 - DPS Post at the Bypass Road Roundabout
Buses 204, 104, 111, and minibus No. 3 pass through here.
Southeast towards Kurganinsk and Labinsk
Option 1 - Zarechny Settlement
Buses 107, 112, 114, 115, 517, 519, 521, 545 and 639. From the bus stop, walk forward 270 meters to the turn onto Volnaya Street and a position near the transformer box. There is no street lighting.
