Maykop (Russian: Майкоп) is a city in Russia, the administrative center of the Republic of Adygea, located almost in the center of Krasnodar Krai near the foothills of the Caucasus.

Hitchhiking out

Northwest towards Ust-Labinsk and Korenovsk via A160

  • There is an interchange with the Maykop bypass at the exit from the city. Right after it are the Maykop Garden Center "Gavrish" and the "RosNeft" gas station. Find out which minibuses go there and add the information.

Southwest towards Tuapse via R254

  • Head out through the village of Krasnooktyabrsky. From there, it's another 1.5 km to the end of the bypass.

South towards the village of Kamennomostsky via R159

  • Look for minibuses to the village of Sovkhozny. There, cross the river, and right after the bridge you can start hitchhiking.

East towards Labinsk and Armavir via R217

  • At the exit, there is a police post (DPS). Opposite lies the village of Severo-Vostochnyye Sady. Find out which minibuses go to this village and add the info.

North towards the stanitsa Kelermesskaya via Kelermesskoye Highway

  • The highway starts at the eastern corner of Maykop station. According to the map, there's a pedestrian path across the tracks, leading directly to the start of the highway. There is a gas station at the city exit.
