The city is an important railway junction (Belorechenskaya station) of the North Caucasus Railway on the Armavir—Tuapse line, with an electrified branch running up the Belaya River valley (via Maykop) to the settlement of Kamennomostsky. Hitchhikers often travel through Belorechensk along the A160 highway, heading to and from the mountains of Adygea.

- Bus No. 111 goes from the city center to the settlement of Vostochny. After it turns off the highway, there is a stop called "DNT Zheleznodorozhnik-1" — you can walk back to the highway and hitchhike opposite the turn (no guardrails or streetlights) or walk a bit further south to a cafe/eatery with a convenient pull-off and the entrance stela to Adygea.
North towards Ust-Labinsk and Korenovsk via A160
- Buses 108, 109, 115, 116, 122, 193, 549, 582, and 610 turn at the intersection with traffic lights 12 km from the city. Just after the turn there is a "request stop." The intersection has streetlights and a wide shoulder, surrounded by fields with little to distract drivers.
