A common format to tag official hitchhiking stops on OpenStreetMap was established. Alongside, all historic spots that used a different way to tag hitchhiking places were altered to adhere to the newly established standard. 🌍🌎🌏 HITCHMAP ACCOUNTS ARE BACK: Hitchmap Register.

Be quick to claim your account name if you have used the map already when it was on Hitchwiki or if you have submitted reviews using a nickname in the past. This will also enable you to see reviews of yourself or any other user like https://hitchmap.com/?user=bob#filters. As Hitchmap remains part of the Hitchwiki ecosystem you can also link your Hitchwiki account :)

🌍🌎🌏 Quite a nice milestone for hitchmap you can now add the exact time of your ride to new spot entries and we got more in the pipeline - if you wanna speed things up you can have a look at github. This will benefit every hitchhiker using the map getting more precise information as well as hitchhiking research more broadly.
