Direction Nienburg/Weser and Bremen

Getting to Nienburg or Bremen from Minden is not quite so easy. There is a Shell petrol station in Minden on the B61, which is relatively large and very busy. It's a good place to stand and talk to people. Unfortunately, the waiting time is relatively long, as you can expect to wait 3-4 hours.

Direction Hanover and Ruhr area

It is somewhat easier to get from Minden towards the highway. A suitable spot is the McDonalds on the Ringstraße in Minden. There is a junction with traffic lights and this is ideal for approaching people whether they are driving towards the Ruhr area or towards Hanover. The waiting time at the traffic lights is around 30-45 minutes.
