About a sign, Paris -> Amsterdam
For going from Barcelona to Amsterdam, who would start with a sign Paris? Perpignan seems a safer bet to me, though I might be wrong. Or a combination sign, Perpignan, Lyon, Paris? (Though I hitched from BCN to Paris in 14 hours once :) Guaka 21:26, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Freeway/Highway/Road/Street
This is an excellent article. In American English I think a Highway is technically a two lane road that can have cross-traffic and cars entering the flow of traffic without the use of an on-ramp. This may not be the case in other forms of English but I'd like any feedback. --Gardner 22:30, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
- I think most active contributors on this wiki are European. You're a native American English speaker so feel free to update the article :) guaka 16:02, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
- A highway can be just any form of road designed for motorized transpotation (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Highway ), also in Europe. So, "motorway" should be the correct term to use here (a "dual carriageway with limited access" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motorway ).
Rollback from edit by 90.220.103.56 - thanks, but this info is already covered in the article. --Tom 22:25, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
Proposal: link to the maps article
Hello, does anyone mind if I update the Maps article with the information here and link from this article instead of listing all the maps here as well? I suggest that it's easier to maintain one article. Regards --Kriechstrom 10:46, 27 January 2012 (CET)
