Direction West
The Panamericana on the western end of Panama lies right next to El Chorillo which is the most dangerous part of the city. It would be advisable to take a bus to past El Chorillo and then you are almost at La Puente de las Americas, a meaningful place to hitch.
Towards Colon
From Av 12/Santa Ana Park you can catch a bus Transistmica which leaves the city on the road to Colon. After around 20 km you will hit the intersection with the Panama City Highway. Be careful in Colon.
