Going west towards Jutland, you can also use the above site spot, following the same procedure (of course you'll have to place position yourself at the entry ramp for cars heading eastwest.)
From the city centre go with bus number 29 to Hjallese, to the end station. It will be very close to the largest roundabout in Denmark, with possibilities of going both to Jutland and Copenhagen. There is a shoulder on the entry ramp, in both directions, so there will be plenty of space to stop and you'll also stand quite safely.
