A general "problem" is that lots of people take the National Road nextto the highway because it s free. There it is not that good to hitchhike because there aren t as many gas stations.
The [http://www.tuzsa.es/resources/mapaDiurno.pdf|bus] 28 is not the best choice to hitchhike out of Zaragoza. You will getto a kind of good looking point with a the gas-station and a redlight before highway but you will soon figure out that not even 10 % of the cars go on the highway. Most of the just cross it over on th bridge.
Now I would rather try my luck with the bus 29 and get of as close to the cros of the city highway.
By the way - the second gas station is bigger but not really on the highway. So try the first one after Yaragoza if your driver doesn t go far.
