Mdsmendes is also active on hospitality exchange networks such as [http://www.hospitalityclub.org/ HospitalityClub] and [http://www.couchsurfing.com/ CouchSurfing].
He was born in [[Lisboa]], [[Portugal]], and has lived there most of his life except for a small period in [[Barcelona]] So far he has travelled a bit through [[Europe]]. Only about 8300km 9600km hitchhiking.. Much more to come!

==Future Travelling==
After working during the summer of 2007 to raise money, Miguel will be is now travelling for (at least) a year in South, Central and North America and in the mean time will spend six months working as a volunteer in . First of all he's volunteering at an orphanage near close to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, called [http://www.casadocaminhobrasil.org/ Casa do Caminho].
