Towards Pristina, Skopje

Walk out towards the R6 on the east side of the city until you reach the first junction near the Viva Fresh and Shell. It's possible to either hitchhike north on the smaller road or hitchhike near the bridge at the gas station and continue towards the highway, where you also have an excellent hitchhiking spot on the ramp (presumably a former toll station) even if you're just passing through.

It's quite often that people will stop for you to tell you to go somewhere else. Both spots work and are close to each other.
