About a sign, Paris -> Amsterdam

For going from Barcelona to Amsterdam, who would start with a sign Paris? Perpignan seems a safer bet to me, though I might be wrong. Or a combination sign, Perpignan, Lyon, Paris? (Though I hitched from BCN to Paris in 14 hours once :) Guaka 21:26, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Featured articles?

Wow, this article is really nice, lots of pictures, good information. Maybe it can be our first featured article? Guaka 02:23, 5 September 2007 (CEST)

Yes, definitely. This article is really great. --MrTweeksite, wikitalk 20:24, 21 September 2007 (CEST)
What do you mean by featured article ? platschisite, wikitalk 18:32, 28 December 2007 (CET)

This is an excellent article. In American English I think a Highway is technically a two lane road that can have cross-traffic and cars entering the flow of traffic without the use of an on-ramp. This may not be the case in other forms of English but I'd like any feedback. --Gardner 22:30, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

I think most active contributors on this wiki are European. You're a native American English speaker so feel free to update the article :) guaka 16:02, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
A highway can be just any form of road designed for motorized transpotation (see ), also in Europe. So, "motorway" should be the correct term to use here (a "dual carriageway with limited access" ).

Rollback from edit by - thanks, but this info is already covered in the article. --Tom 22:25, 15 September 2010 (UTC)

Proposal: link to the maps article

Hello, does anyone mind if I update the Maps article with the information here and link from this article instead of listing all the maps here as well? I suggest that it's easier to maintain one article. Regards --Kriechstrom 10:46, 27 January 2012 (CET)

Surfers Tips

Hi, I have added a head line (No. 22) named Hich Hikers tip. The idea is to have a dynamic section so people could throw in their ideas and records and so we will learn better. Since i can not say how many people use discussion page i decided to upload it steight to the main article. Whoever knows how to edit please do. Hopefuly in no time it would look better and once tips will be agreed on by majorty we could embed it to the proper section in the main article. Cheers Kodo 21 july 2016

I don't think we need a freeform comment section in the middle of this article. Anyone with such tips should really just update the actual article instead, right? -Mikael (talk) 16:51, 21 July 2016 (CEST
I think it would be better to have some tip we agree on rather than one person's exprience. For example my curves tip might be wrong by a lot of other hikers and so just put it in wouldnt be useful. So far i can agree with over 90% of the artivle so for me all good. Kodo 21 july 2016
