Oaxaca is a state in southern Mexico. Its capital and most important city is Oaxaca. Oaxaca shares borders with Guerrero to the west, Puebla to the northwest, Veracruz to the north, and Chiapas to the east.
Huatulco and Puerto Escondido are popular beach destinations at the Pacific Coast of the state.
