Hitchhiking will become is officially legal on as of July 1,2013 in [[Wyoming]]. A bill was introduced January 9, 2013 by Senator Leland Christensen called Senate File 29 in the 62nd Wyoming Legislature to legalize hitchhiking in the state. The bill was signed into law on February 28th, 2013. (Note that local jurisdictions might differ and that some police officers might not be aware of the change in law.)
