Go to Avinguda del Cid, and cross the bridge and acctually actually the A3 starts from here, but the problem is, that you cannot go there, because there are fances fences everywhere. You can chose to hitchhike before the bridge where there is a busstop bus stop or place for the cars to stop, or try this place [http://maps.google.com/maps?near=39.472222,-0.431092this place]. It is under the "bridge" that crosses abowe above the A3, and there are two petrol stations, and lot of cars pass there (though, a lot of them are going to Manises). I've waited for a little more than an hour, but in Spain I usually count that you have to wait at least an hour.
