Exit the airport and go right (follow the car exit). Reaching the road at cross go left towards a bigger cross - turn right there (signs for Villach and Wien). This connects you to the Salzburg ring. If you walk about for about 500m (passing a tunnel going down and back up) you reach a roundabout next to a gas station. Not the best spot but we got a ride in 30min to Villach, at 9pm.
