Plymouth is a lovely city in the south-east (Edit: South West in fact) of England

Everyone is always welcome to give you a lift in their car to wherever you need to go and they do not expect you to pay them anything. Although, if they seem poor, it is nice to buy them lunch instead or a packet of fags. Plymouth has many sights to go see including the many gala bingos, casinos and run down buildings. Although, this may not seem so attractive, it is a privilige to go view. Amongst these sights, they are many pubs to go to where you can meet the locals. The locals of Plymouth are called Janners and are wonderful people, they will even have fights with each other for entertainment for you. [[Category:United Kingdom]

Edit: However true the above is, let;s be a bit more helpful.

There is no restriction to which roads you can and cannot hitch in and out of Plymouth as there are no 'M' roads.

East towards Exeter there is 'Exeter road' which if you walk along enough will take you to a dual carriagway where it is easy to get a lift in the right spot, I will leave that to your discretion since I have no time to pull up maps, links and references.

West towards Cornwall means you need to find the 'Torpoint Ferry' there is a purple bus that will take you there and further if you want. Once in Torpoint you can walk a mile or so untill you reach a road with limitless hitching spots.

North towards Tavistock and Okehampton means a bit more of a tricky one, best bet would be to get the 83/86 and maybe the 84 (often changes!) untill you get out of the city to a hitching spot of your choice (it really is that easy) ot all the way to Yelverton where the road splits to Tavistock or Princetown if you want to see some sheep, hills and prisoners.
