Going to Copenhagen
The === Going towards East or West ===From Odense going towards either west or east, local hitchhikers mostly use the on-ramp for ramps of a same road junction that brings the trafic from/to the highway E20 . To get to that road junction, check Google Maps for directions or options of public transportations to "McDonald's 5260". You can generally take buses from Odense central station with destination "Hjallese" or "Højby" (buses 21, 22 or 23) and ask to get off at Hjallese is widely used the McDonald's by the natives since it is easily accessible highway (there will be only one McDonald's on your way). From the centre, one can go with buses 21, 22, 121 or 122 in the direction of Højby. There's a stop before a McDTowards Jutland Once you're at McDonald's in , find the south of on-ramp on your right side which gives access to the cityhighway (E20) towards "Kolding". A hundred meters or so past the McD's and to the left there Kolding is the entry ramp for the motorway to Copenhagena city already in Jutland.
Maybe most effective would be to stand right after the roundabout before the McD's. There's a good place for the cars to stop and since it's close to the roundabout the cars drive pretty slow. Also people going to the McDTowards Copenhagen Once you's will enter and exit to the McDre at McDonald's using the roundabout. There is, however, also plenty of space on the hard shoulder on the entry ramp for cars to stop. === Going to Jutland or Copenhagen === Going west towards Jutland, you can also use cross the above spot, following bridge over the same procedure highway (of course E20) and then you'll have to position yourself at see the on the entry on-ramp for cars heading west.) From the city centre go with bus number 29 to Hjallese, to the end station. It will be very close to the largest roundabout in Denmark, with possibilities of going both to Jutland and towards Copenhagen. There is a shoulder on your left side (in the entry ramp, in both directions, so there will be plenty of space to stop and signs you'll also stand quite safely. Go with bus 51 or 153 from Odense Banegård Center (The central train station) to the stop Vestre Boulevard. Walk further read Copenhagen in the direction of the bus until you come to the motorway. From here big trucks from the industrial area nearby and people who work in Odense and lives in JutlandDanish, should be able to take you westwhich is "København").
