Iraq

Iraq is a country in the Middle East.

Considering the constant state of war it would probably be quite insane to hitch here. But well, if you can get into the country you might give it a try. It could be fun to hitch a tank. There are stories from some people hitchhiking in the north of Iraq succesfully in 2007, but since the Turkey-PKK conflict rised up again it seems to be quite impossible there now. (Dec 2007)

We highly not recommend to hitchhike in Iraq at the moment.
