    • Hitching from Chuí into Brazil**

It is often long waiting times til we hitch a ride from Chuí into Brazil, going towards the cities of Rio Grande / Pelotas. Often, the best place to hitch out of Chuí is walking to the "aduana" (border control, on the brazilian side). Once you're there, if it happens to you that you've still been wainting a long time, I'd recommend writing on a paper the name of one of these "granjas" (farms) on the way: Mangueiras or Quatro irmãos. These are some sort of farms located on your way. There's absolutely nothing around these farms, so make sure to have food or water (or try to ask in the farms, although I haven'tried talking to anyone there, they'd probably help you out). Trucks come in and out these farms loading stuff produced in the region. Hopping from farm to farm can be a way of moving some kilometers if you are stuck, and I heard these two are the most known farms on this route. Truck drivers might want to pick you up thinking that you're coming to work on those places or something like that.
