Campeche is a state on the Yucatán peninsula in the southeast of Mexico. Its capital is also called Campeche. The state of Campeche shares borders with the states of Yucatán to the northeast, Quintana Roo to the east, Tabasco to the south, and with the countries of Belize to the east and Guatemala to the south. However, there seem to be no official border crossing points to these countries from Campeche.
