3. Walk 5kms from Rogier metro heading west on the main road R20.
I tried the 1 option to hitchhike to Gent. I walked around 30mins from the park Sacred Heart Basilica (it is around an hour from center). I was standing at the second gas station and a guy asked me to give a ride to a further spot and it worked. Even though gas stations is good stop, after this spot there are many options to go so if u have a chance to go further it is a good idea. There is other gas station called Texaco only 7 mins far by car. And cars usually go to gent.
