The Academy of Free Travels (Академия Вольных Путешествий, AVP) was founded on September 2, 1995. It is one of many hitchhiking clubs in Russia.
The clubs aims are 1) to collect information about the world, the countries and regions and their peculiarity, 2) organization hitchhiking expeditions and hikes in different parts of the globe and Russia, 3) educate people with information on the properties of the surrounding world and the possibilities for independent travel.
