Bratsk (Russian: Братск) is a city in the center of Siberia. It is a major industrial center in Irkutsk Oblast, Russia. The city was built alongside the hydroelectric power station on the Angara River and is one of the main transport hubs on the Baikal–Amur Mainline (BAM).

South towards Tulun on A331 "Vilyuy"

• "Kuznetsovsky" police checkpoint. Bus #800 from the bus station to the stop "KPP (on request)". This is already 20 km from the city.
• Roundabout at the beginning of the road to Tulun. This is closer, but you won't lose time on the #800 bus, which passes through every village. Stop "Gas Station (on request)", buses #115D, 115U, 31.

East towards Ust-Kut, Mirny and Yakutsk on A331 "Vilyuy"

The road to Ust-Kut crosses the dam of the Bratsk Hydroelectric Station.

• The farthest bus stop is "Rynok (Gidrostroitel)". Buses: #10, 108, 25, 4, 5, 6, 9; minibus #10. From the stop, walk another 150 meters south, where you will find the road and railway crossing.
• You can also reach the "Gidrostroitel" station by one of three suburban trains and walk 1 km north to the same railway crossing. Or ride to the next station "Podvyezdny" and walk 850 meters to the road to hitchhike already outside the city.
