West towards Bristol (A36)
From the city centre follow the signs for Wilton and walk along the Wilton Road, which is the part of the A36 that goes from Salisbury to nearby Wilton. After about a mile, past the Salisbury and South Wilts Sports Club, you'll come to a bus stop which is a reasonably good spot to find a lift to Bristol.
