Sevastopol (Russian/Ukrainian: Севастополь) is a city in Ukraine / Russia.
- The territorial status of Sevastopol is disputed between Russia, which controls the territory, and Ukraine, which is recognized as the sovereign by most UN member states.
- Sevastopol is the terminus of the new highway A291 "Tavrida," which bypasses Bakhchysarai and Simferopol and goes to the Crimean Bridge.

Hitchhiking out
Southeast towards Yalta, Alushta (M18)
- Hitchhiking on this route is difficult due to many taxis, lack of clear positions, and heavy local traffic. If you get tired of moving car-to-car every 2-5 km, you can take a bus or minibus, and from Yalta to Simferopol there is also a unique mountain trolleybus line.
- To reach the Yalta road, you first need to get from the center to the "Fifth Kilometer" stop. The key spot for hitchhiking to Yalta is the "Yalta Ring" interchange. Buses 8, 18, 37, 40, 41, and 183 stop near the ring.
- There is a police checkpoint at the turn to Goncharnoye village. Buses 37, 41, 55, 182, 183, and intercity buses to Yalta and Alushta stop there.
Northeast towards Bakhchysarai, Simferopol, Crimean Bridge via A-291 "Tavrida"
- Unlike the Yalta road, this route is typical for hitchhiking; taxis already have clients and won’t bother hitchhikers. To go to Kerch, go via Simferopol as the route through Yalta is longer and worse.
- You can start hitchhiking from the "Yalta Ring" where traffic from the South Coast joins. Buses 8, 18, 37, 40, 41, 183 stop near the ring.
- There is an interchange near "Inkerman-2" station. The stop is called "Depo" and can be reached by buses 92, 103, 126, 127, 137k on Chernorechenskaya street.
- An interesting option: take a boat to Inkerman, visit the unique monastery, walk 20 minutes to the end of the neighborhood and hitchhike there.
- Good hitchhiking spot at the turn to Shturmovoe village: there is a bus stop. Buses 91, 126, 127, 137k. Buses 91 and 126 turn into the village, but have a stop at the highway before the turn.
- At the interchange with Presidential Highway, there are no public transport stops, but you can try hitchhiking from Northern Inkerman. Bus 62 goes from the pier to "Sady Miner" stop but runs only 4 times a day. This option includes the central Sevastopol ferry to North Bay.
- Suburban trains from the railway station (including Inkerman) run four times a day.
North towards Saky and Yevpatoria
- Take buses 32, 36, 38, 42, 137k to Belbek airport.
Passing by the city by hitchhiking
- If you don't want to enter the city, you can hitchhike via the "Presidential Road" (also called the "Gorbachev Road") or through Inkerman using buses 70 and 137.
Motorways
- The highway A291 "Tavrida" follows the route: Kerch — Feodosiya — Bilohirsk — Simferopol — Bakhchysarai — Sevastopol. Hitchhiking works best at junctions and gas station exits.
- Road 67K-1 starts in Yalta, goes through Livadiya, Alupka, Koreiz, Simeiz, Foros, Balaklava, and ends in Sevastopol. Total length — 80.7 km.
- Road T-0105 (Tankovoe — Oboronnoe) is 23 km and goes from the village Tankovoe in Bakhchysarai district, through valleys and rivers, and ends at the Sevastopol — Yalta road near Oboronnoe.
