Anapa (Russian: Анапа) is a resort city located in the south of Russia on the sandy coast of the Black Sea in Krasnodar Krai.

Hitchhiking in

• The airports of Vityazevo and Gelendzhik have not been operating since February 2022.
• The railway station is located outside the city in the village of Verkhnee Dzhemete.
• The bus station is at 11 Krasnoarmeyskaya St., open 05:00–21:00, tel. +7 (86133) 5–68–97 (dispatcher), +7 (86133) 5–68–61 (information).

Hitchhiking out

East towards Novorossiysk and Krasnodar via A290

• Interchange with Anapskoye highway. "Vesovaya" stop for minibuses No. 115 and 132, fare 40 RUB. You can ask the driver to drop you off at the turn. Choose a spot on the roadside opposite the stele and start hitchhiking. There may be fruit and souvenir vendors and people offering accommodation here. Taxi drivers know there are many hitchhikers here and sometimes give lifts.
• You can also take a bus/minibus towards Novorossiysk and get off at the fork near Verkhnebakanskoye. You can walk through Verkhnebakanskoye along Lenina St. for 15 minutes to reach a good hitchhiking spot where the roads from Novorossiysk and Anapa meet. This is an option for those who don't want to hitchhike right in the resort area.

North towards the stanitsa of Varenikovskaya, Slavyansk-na-Kubani, Krasnodar

• Chemurka village. Minibuses No. 110 and 121. From the stop, walk a bit further and hitchhike near the gas station. Alternatively, you can continue to Gostagaevskaya. Fare on route 110 is 70 RUB (about 27 km), on route 132 it is 80 RUB (up to 34 km). Pay the driver in cash or by card.

North towards Temryuk and the crossing to Crimea via A290

• It is difficult to tell where the resort area ends and the "normal highway" begins. You can use the turn to Vityazevo outside the city boundaries. Taxi drivers operate further, warn them about your intentions if you accept a lift! You can reach the turn to the airport by numerous minibuses. The road to the ferry branches off near the village of Dzhiginka. Minibuses No. 102, 103, 105, 107, 108, 122 go that way.

• In your own tent for one night you can hide among the coastal dunes on Pionersky Prospekt. For longer stays, you need to go somewhere in the Utresh area or beyond the village of Blagoveshchenskaya.
