Anapa (Russian: Анапа) is a resort city located in the south of Russia on the sandy coast of the Black Sea in Krasnodar Krai.

Hitchhiking out

East towards Novorossiysk and Krasnodar via A290

  • Junction with Anapskoye Shosse. Stop "Vesovaya" for minibuses No. 115 and No. 132, price 40 RUB. You can ask the driver to drop you off right at the turn. Choose a spot on the roadside opposite the stela and hitchhike. There may be fruit and souvenir sellers, and people offering accommodation here. Taxi drivers know that there are many hitchhikers here and can give you a ride.
  • Alternatively, you can take a bus/minibus towards Novorossiysk and get off at the junction near Verkhnebakanskoye. You can walk through Verkhnebakanskoye along ul. Lenina for 15 minutes and get to the spot where the roads from Novorossiysk and Anapa meet. This is an option for those who don't want to hitchhike in a resort area.

North towards stanitsa Varenikovskaya, Slavyansk-na-Kubani, Krasnodar

  • Chemurka village. Minibuses No. 110 and No. 121. From the stop, walk a little forward and hitchhike near the gas station. Alternatively, go to Gostagaevskaya. The fare for route 110 is 70 RUB, the distance is about 27 km. Route 132 costs more – 80 RUB – as the trip is up to 34 km. Pay the driver in cash or by bank card.

North towards Temryuk and the Crimea ferry via A290

  • It is difficult to determine where the resort ends and the "normal highway" begins. You can take the turn to Vitiazevo past the city limits. But note that taxi drivers work even further, so be clear about your intentions when you get in! You can take one of the many minibuses to the airport turn. The road to the ferry branches off near the village of Dzhiginka. You can reach it by minibuses No. 102, 103, 105, 107, 108, 122.
