Puno is a city in Peru at the lake of Titicaca at very high altitude. One can hitchhike from here to Tacna, Cuzco and to Copacabana in Bolivia.

=== North towards Juliaca, Sillustani, Arequipa === take micro n°60, n°20 or n°1 until Yanomayo. There, right after the petrol station, the road forks: left direction goes to Arequipa (direction Manazo). This is a shortcut to Arequipa, but way less trafficked than the road that goes to Juliaca. The right direction goes to Sillustani and Juliaca.
