==The History of the 888 Project==
Before we the 888 project was organized this project, there were a large number of signs regarding Tokyo.:
FirstOn December 2nd, there was the 2007, Pascal Dumond and Fabrice Renucci drew a "[[Tokyo|TOKYO]]" hitchhiking sign that two hitchhikers drew to go get back to Lille, France from Rotterdam to Lille, the Netherlands...
ThenOn December 3rd, there were 2007, Erik Van Loon, an Dutch artist, called hist two friends Pascal Dumond and Fabrice Renucci and told them and their Tokyo hitchhiking sign had inspired him to create a Hitchhiking Race to the free plane tickets Palais de Tokyo in Paris. His idea was actually to tell people that it was race to "Tokyo" , Japan before telling them that it was actually going to be organized in Paris On December 4th, 2007, Erik Van Loon was offered three plane tickets to "Tokyo" from a friend of his. He gave Fabrice and Pascal a call around 2 a.m. in which he asked them to call him back before 10a.m. if they wanted to go to Tokyo with him. Fabrice did not check his messages before noon. As for Pascal, he actually checked his voicemail shortly after 2a.m. but did not call back Erik since he was sure that it was a joke (especially after the previous two hitchhikersevents). But they called him back too lateOn December 16th, the international art group '''Sun Rain Stars''' (www.sunrainstars.com) led by Erik Van Loon (www.erikvanloon.com) unveiled their latest art show '''Fight For Love'''in Tokyo.
