So I usually do(hc and cs username is the same:gerbennap)I hitchhike for fun==About=='''Gerben''' is a Dutch student, formerly in [[Delft]] doing civil engineering, but has now almost finished his degree in liberal arts and sometimes really just because it saves moneysciences in [[Utrecht]] (mainly social geography and international relations), where he has lived for the past three years. This only happens He first started hitchhiking on short distances though. I hitchhike through the Netherlands quite oftenQueensday 2006, and make trips got picked up by a Brazilian air acrobat who told him she always picked up hitchhikers when she saw them. Going only from here [[Delft]] to all kinds of places. Hope [[Amsterdam]] that day, he decided that it must be possible to make it into Asia one day. Got go further as far as Stwell.Petersburg and Moscow so So far , he has hitchhiked criss-cross through Europe in that direction.I'm not so much into statisticsall directions, although I like and has made several bigger trips: in 2008 he hitchhiked from [[Netherlands|NL]] to keep my notebooks with all my signs as souvenirs:) And ofcourse some extreme's are nice [[Russia]] and back, while in 2009 he hitchhiked from [[Netherlands|NL]] to remember[[China]], such as my ride at 260km/h around Berlinpassing [[Turkey]], the Caucasus and a 2 day ride with a Polish trucker[[Central Asia]] en route. In the summer of 2010 he hitchhiked from [[Egypt]] to [[Kenya]], or hitchhiking in total darkness in passing [[Sudan]] and [[Ethiopia]] on the Highlands of Scotlandway.
