Could someone please post the GPS coordinates of this Haji Baba restaurant? There is also a Turkish restaurant less than 500 meters from the Bulgarian side of the border. Often when I've stopped a truck at the roundabout after entering Bulgaria, the driver went straight to that restaurant to eat. I've always had luck with stopping trucks at the roundabout, but perhaps there's also the possibility of walking into that restaurant and asking drivers for a lift to Istanbul.
